TWOTHOUSANDANDNINETEEN was another very eventful year ranging between the poles of stability and new beginnings Stefan Traxler our long standing Partner left our architect s group Working with him has significantly influenced the people in our offices while he unmistakably branded our projects and left many distinctive traces To say goodbye we set off together in September to Regensburg with almost all our colleagues from Frankfurt Dresden and Munich to visit our first museum project the House of Bavarian History This project which is particularly associated with Stefan and bears his signature features prominently in this yearbook Both experts and the many visitors appreciate this project and in the few months since its opening it has become a major highly respected public attraction We are grateful for the many years spent working together and look forward to him accompanying us in the future To this end we quote Stefan from his farewell address The most beautiful gift is in the mind namely the memory of the overall atmosphere and the feeling of leaving an architectural practice in which despite all the ups and downs the people enjoy working together The foundations of the leadership of the company in the coming decade have long been laid and the handover to the next generation has been completed Björn Bischoff and Sebastian Pfau as long standing members of the Frankfurt management team assume responsibility as owners and Managing Directors and in Munich Ralf Löw has been appointed Managing Director The projects developed and supervised by them fit in naturally with our other tasks in the stages of planning and construction and can be seen here in the Concepts section These projects which are set for completion in the coming year will be the focus of the next issue of our Year Book This year we include a very special project in more detail the Historical Orangery in Dresden with pictures of its reconstruction and conversion into contemporary living accommodation This once again documents the recurring and attractive projects entrusted to us outside our particular profession as architects for health and research buildings We remain curious and expectant and we wish you and all of us a healthy and creative year 2020 Petra Wörner Martin Richter Petra Cleven Lutz Steuernagel Christian Strauss Sven Nebgen Björn Bischoff Sebastian Pfau Ralf Löw
